The rates for basic telephone service are as follows:

In addition to the above charges, the Federal Communications Commission has mandated an additional end user access charge. The charge is $6.50 per line for residential customers and single line business customers, and $9.20 per line for business customers with multiple lines.

Charges to Install or Change Your Service
The one-time charges to install or change your service may vary, depending on the type of work that is performed. For details on these charges, see below.

Service Order Charge
You will be charged for the processing of your order when you install or make changes in your telephone service.

Central Office Line
This is a one-time charge for the work we do to connect your line to our switching office, or move service.

Premises Visit Charge
This is the charge you pay when an installer visits your home for installation. There is a separate charge for maintenance calls after your service is installed.

You pay this charge when you install, move or change the wiring in your home, per location.

Maintenance Visit Charge

If you call for a MVT repair person to check the service at your home and a problem is found in either the equipment or inside wire, you will be charged a $15 per call charge for residences in Overton and Logandale, and $25 per call charge for residences in other areas. If you ask to have the inside wire problem repaired by MVT, you will be charged for the time and materials. These charges are separate from the installation of service charges.
