Touch-Tone Service: Provides pushbutton
dialing for use with calling features and automated telephone

How To Use: Service is automatic when registered for
the service and calling from a Touch-Tone phone. |
Call
Waiting: Alerts you to an
incoming call while you're on the phone. A subscriber

you get all of your calls even if you have a talkative
teen.
How To Use:
1. Depress the switch-hook for about a second to
place the first call on hold. You will automatically be connected to
your second call.
2. Depress the switch-hook again to return to the
first call.

Cancel Call Waiting: Disables Call Waiting.
Included with Call Waiting at no additional charge. Great for people
with on-line services! |

How To Use:
1. Before making your call, dial *70. Listen for a
special dial tone.
2. Dial the number
you wish to call. When the call is over Call Waiting will be
reactivated.

Call
Forwarding: Directs incoming calls to another number. Great for
those on the go! |

It's
Perfect for: Receiving a call when you're
at another location.
How To Use:
1. Lift the receiver and dial *72 and wait four
seconds.
2. When you hear the special dial tone, dial the number to
which your calls will be forwarded.
3. When someone answers at the
forwarded number, Call Forwarding is activated. (If there is no answer
or the line is busy, hang-up and repeat the above steps. If you do this
within two minutes, you'll hear two short tones Indicating that Call
Forwarding has been activated.)
Once Call Forwarding has been
activated, the phone will make one short ring each
time
a call is forwarded. However, you can still make outgoing calls as
usual, if you forward calls to
a long-distance number, you (not the
caller) will be billed the appropriate long-distance charges.
To discontinue Call Forwarding dial
*73 and wait four seconds. When you hear the confirmation tone, Call
Forwarding has been discontinued. |
Selective Call Forwarding: Allows you to program numbers from which
you would like to have calls forwarded to another number. |

Perfect for: Staying accessible
to wanted calls, even when at another line.
How To Use:
1. Lift the receiver and dial *63 from a touch-tone
phone.
2. Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is
currently on or off.
The recorded voice will then tell you how many (if any) numbers
are currently
stored on your forwarding list.
3. Follow the voice instructions and dial 3 to turn the feature
on or off.
4. To
add the last caller to your list, dial #01#.
5. To hear the phone
numbers on your list, dial 1.
6. To add a number to your list, dial #, and follow the instructions
you hear
7. To remove a number from your
list, dial *.
8. Hang up when finished.

Call Forward
Busy: Call Forward Busy automatically transfers calls to a
specified number if your line is busy |

To use Call Forward
Busy:
1.
Dial *90 followed by the telephone number you would like calls
forwarded to. When the line is answered, the feature is activated.
2. To cancel Call Forward Busy, dial *91, listen for 3 beeps,
and hang up. |
Call Forward No
Answer: Call Forward No Answer automatically transfers calls
to a specified number if you do
not answer within a specified number
of rings (2 to 8). |

To use Call Forward No
Answer:
1.
Dial *92 followed by the number of rings (2 to 8) followed
by the telephone number you would like the calls forwarded
to.
2. To cancel Call Forward No Answer, dial *93, listen for
3 beeps, and hang up.

Call Forward Remote Access: Call Forward Remote Access allows you to activate,
deactivate, or change your call forwarding features from any touch-tone
telephone, anywhere in the world. For more information, call
397-2601. |
Distinctive Ringing/Call
Waiting: Allows
you to designate numbers that will automatically be identified
by a distinctive ring or call-waiting tone. |

important calls through when on the other line.
How To Use:
1. Lift the receiver and dial *61 from a touch-tone
phone.
2. Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature
is currently on or off, and how many (if any) numbers are currently
stored on your Distinctive Ringing list.
3. Follow the voice instructions and
dial 3 to turn the feature on or off.
4. To add the last caller to your
list, dial #01#.
5. To hear the phone numbers on your list, dial
1.
6. To add a number to your list, dial # and follow the voice
instructions you hear.
7. To remove a number from your list,
dial*.
8. Hang up when
finished. |

It's Perfect for: Planning events
and conference calling.
How To Use:
1. Place current call on hold by depressing the
switch-hook for about a second.
2. When you hear a special dial tone, dial the third person.
3. When the third party answers, you may talk
privately before completing the three-way connection.
4. With the third party on the line, depress the switch-hook
for about a second to get back to the first caller. If for some
reason the call to the third party is not completed, depress
the switchhook once to get back to the party on hold.
To disconnect the third party,
simply depress the switch-hook again for about a second. You will have
only the original party on the line.
To disconnect the call completely,
simply hang up. If either of the two parties hangs up, you can talk to
the one remaining.
To transfer the call, simply hang
up and the other parties will be connected. |
Speed
Calling: Stores up to 30 phone
numbers for one- or two-digit dialing |

"frequently called numbers" list.
How To Use:
1. To establish your Speed Calling list, lift the
receiver and dial 75#.
2. When you hear the special dial tone, dial
the two-digit code (20-49) that you want to assign to a specific
telephone number.
3. Dial the telephone number. For long-distance
entries, dial "1" and the area code before the number. Two short tones
confirm that the code has been programmed.
To use Speed Calling, lift the
receiver and simply dial the two-digit access code for
the number you
wish to call and press #.
1. To change your list, lift the receiver and dial
75#.
2. When you hear the special dial tone, dial the two digit
access code of the number you would like to change.
3. When you hear
the cancellation tone and dial tone returns, follow the above steps to
add a number to your list.

Trace: Traces calls for
law enforcement authorities. |

Stopping prank calls.
How To Use: After a
nuisance call, press *57 (1157 on rotary phones) and
listen for a confirmation that the call has been traced, The number will
be held at the MVTC business office. Upon your request, we will release
the number to the proper authorities. |

How To Use:
1. To access the menu, press *60. An announcement
will notify you whether the feature Is on or off.

press # again. Calls from that number will be routed to a call
rejection message.
To remove a number from your
list, dial #. Dial the number you wish to receive
calls from and press # again.

30 minutes or until your call goes through. You will be notified

up your receiver and wait for the other party to answer the

Anonymous Call Rejection: Anonymous Call Rejection lets you block any incoming calls from
parties who have blocked their telephone numbers from being sent to you
for display on your Caller ID telephone or adjunct device. When this
feature is on, calling parties are redirected to an announcement that
states "We're Sorry, your current privacy status does not allow
completion of this call, please hang up, change your privacy status, and
try your call again." |

Rejection:
1. Lift the receiver
2. Dial *77. You will hear an announcement that states: "Your
Anonymous Call Rejection Service is now on."
3. To cancel, dial *87
You will hear an

Voice
Mail: Voice Mail Stores
incoming messages for easy retrieval without additional equipment and
from anywhere In the worldwide calling area. Specialty Voice Mailboxes
(tree, answer only, remote notification upon receipt of message) are

To
activate Voice Mail:
1.
"Login" to your mailbox for the first time by dialing
the access code XXX-5500 (XXX equals 394 if your telephone number
begins with 394, 397 if your telephone number begins with 397,
etc.) and then enter the passcode "1-2-3-4." The Voice
Mail User Tutorial will automatically be activated. The tutorial
will "talk you through" your first Voice Mail , including
setting up your mailbox with a personalized name and pass code
(a four to 10 digit number) that will replace the "1-2-3-4"
code.
2. To complete the setup, it is necessary to Call Forward your
telephone number to the access number. (This feature is part
of Voice Mall. Follow the instructions for Call Forward
No Answer and/or Call Forward Busy).
3. Until you cancel the Call Forwarding, your telephone will
be answered by Voice Mail when you do not answer within the
specified number of rings, or when your phone is busy. When
you have a message in your Voice Mail, your telephone will have
a" stutter" dial tone when you lift the receiver.
To retrieve the message:
1.
Login to your mailbox by calling XXX-5500 (XXX equals 394 if
your telephone number begins with 394, 397 if your telephone
number begins with 397, etc.).
2. Enter your pass code and then follow the instructions.
To retrieve your messages when you are
away from your telephone:
1.
Login to your mailbox by calling XXX-5500 (XXX equals 394 if
your telephone number begins with 394, 397 if your telephone
number begins with 397, etc.).
2. Dial your telephone number.
3. When your Voice Mail message begins, dial * and enter your
pass code. |
Call
Blocking: Permits a caller to choose on a per call basis (before every
call) when they want to block their
telephone number from being displayed or announced to the called party.
This feature is automatically available at no monthly charge. |

To activate:
1. Pick up the receiver and at the dial tone, dial
* 67 for Touch Tone service or 1167 from a rotary phone.
2. Wait
for second dial tone.
3. Dial the desired telephone number. Your
telephone number will not be displayed or announced to the called
party
4. When the call is completed and you hang up, your line will
revert to its normal status. Your number will be displayed or
announced on future calls unless Call Blocking is activated
prior to making another call.
5. To permanently block your calls, call our
